How To Edit Awesomeness Bot: A Tutorial
by Lain Taylor, for Zack Awesome
Hi Zack! I'm making this tutorial for you so you can help me by adding to my Discord bot since I don't necessarily always have the time to do so.
Full disclosure, I'm also just very excited about the prospect of you learning Python, and you can learn a bit of it through this!
But, before you add anything, you need to be able to edit the bot in the first place, so without further ado, here is
How To Make It So That You Can Edit Awesomeness Bot: A Tutorial
What You Need
Required!!
- A GitHub account (register here)
- Access to the Awesomeness Bot repository (send me your GitHub username once you've signed up and I will add you to it, then that link should work)
Optional!!
- An IDE (integrated development environment; basically, a coding program) like VSCode
This would be more convenient than editing the code in your browser, and would help plant the seeds for more programming later on!
- Undying love for your friend who is putting together this tutorial for you

What You Do
So this section of the tutorial assumes that you've signed up for GitHub and have access to the Awesomeness Bot repo. If either of these are untrue, make sure they're true first! Once both of these things have been done, then you can follow the directions here!
